Installation Instructions
Before installation, check whether the gearbox model, ratio, rotation direction, connection dimensions, and matching equipment parameters meet the project requirements.
Install the gearbox on a stable, level foundation with sufficient load-bearing capacity, and ensure that the unit is firmly fixed.
During installation, ensure proper alignment between the gearbox, prime mover, and pump shaft to avoid forced assembly or eccentric operation.
Before operation, add suitable lubricating oil and check the oil level, seals, fasteners, and cooling system.
During initial operation, observe noise, vibration, temperature rise, and oil leakage. Normal operation can begin only after confirming that there are no abnormalities.
Frequently Asked Questions
Its main function is to convert horizontal shaft power from a diesel engine, horizontal motor, or steam turbine into vertical output, enabling 90-degree transmission and speed matching for vertical pumps.
Key parameters include input power, input speed, output speed, transmission ratio, axial thrust, rotation direction, installation dimensions, lubrication method, cooling requirement, and operating environment.
Yes. The vertical shaft can be equipped with a thrust bearing to withstand axial force generated during pump operation. The specific thrust capacity should be confirmed according to the gearbox model and working conditions.
No. The need for an oil cooler depends on thrust load, speed, continuous operating time, ventilation conditions, and temperature rise. High-load or continuous-duty applications should be technically confirmed.
Before startup, check the lubricating oil level, rotation direction, coupling alignment, fastening bolts, cooling system, sealing condition, and whether there is any abnormal resistance or noise.
Common causes include poor alignment, unstable foundation, insufficient lubrication, bearing issues, gear wear, excessive load, or loose connecting parts. The unit should be stopped and inspected before further operation.
